The Cattle
Raising Angus with Care, Tradition, and Respect for the Land

The Cattle
At AlPat Farms, our herd is at the heart of everything we do. We raise Angus cattle with the same care and respect that my family has practiced on this land for generations. For us, cattle farming is about more than just production — it’s about stewardship, sustainability, and honoring the animals that provide for us.

Over the years, farming methods have changed, but our commitment has remained the same: to raise healthy, well-cared-for cattle while protecting the rolling hills and pastures they graze on. We attend producer meetings and farming seminars regularly, always learning and adapting to ensure that our practices are humane, responsible, and environmentally sound.

The cattle here are part of a living legacy. For generations, they have provided for our family, supported our community, and helped sustain this farm. Today, they continue to shape daily life at AlPat Farms — from tending pastures to preparing hay, every season revolves around their needs.

When you visit, you’ll often see the herd grazing peacefully against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s a reminder of why we do what we do: to preserve this way of life, to care for the animals entrusted to us, and to share the beauty of the farm with others.
