About AlPat Farms
AlPat Farms has been part of the Chapman family for generations — a living piece of Virginia’s agricultural heritage.

What began decades ago as a small cattle operation has grown into over 200 acres of pasture and woodland, cared for with the same pride and stewardship passed down through the years.

The name “AlPat” honors Laurie’s parents, whose dedication and love for the land shaped the farm’s character. Every fence post, field, and barn carries a story — of early mornings, changing seasons, and the enduring connection between family and farmland.
Today, AlPat Farms remains a place where heritage meets hospitality, welcoming visitors to experience the beauty and authenticity of Virginia farm life.
